Things have been really exciting in terms of taking on new clients, watching my lifts get heavier and heavier each week, trying to keep up with the demands of training and nutrition programs as my clients get some serious game face on...

From where I had left off at the last blog, I had dropped a massive 5% bodyfat in 8 days which was so epic!! What did I do differently? I took out the extra carbs on sedentary to moderate activity days and increased them on high level activity days - converting my diet found me a little more tired than usual... but I though that was expected and my menstrual cycle was just leaving town so hormones were an absolute pig sty! Passing through week 5 without any days off I was cracking severely underneath the surface, I was on and off the phone all day to my partner as i was going through the motions of what to do with my day, brain very hazy - up and down in moods every 15 minutes "I'm gonna get tests for my hormones I have had enough of this bull***!!!" then an hour later "Babe guess what - I just bought my comp shoooooes from this place off Chapel St, YAAAAAYYYY!!!" I was absolutely stark raving MAD and had no control over it. I must say the the shoe purchase was an amazing idea - I took photos of them and loaded them onto facebook to share my excitement. It was love at first sight and as soon as I slipped my Cinderella foot into this glass looking slipper I went straight into the relaxed pose. It was a match made in heaven!!!

The weekend flew buy with clients and work - the along came Sunday when I was bound to train with the 'Dave n Nat dynamic duo' along with my man, of course along came "the shoes" to do a little posing prac at the end. Nat helped me through all of the poses, correcting hands, poise, posture and muscle contraction. I struggled BIG TIME with getting my lats out. I tried and tried and tried and hurt a whole bunch. I felt like dumbo when he was trying to fly... :S After being relatively happy with all the rest, I moved on to refine some choreography and get the feet and basics right. Later that night I was getting ready to hop into the shower (M15+ only readers please, haha) and I thought, I better have a little practise before I indulge in this warm, heavenly, pain relieving, muscle soaking goodness... BOOM! Got Lats? Dumbo be gone, I was certainly bat girl - wowsered to the max, I darted off to the other room and showed my man "LOOK LOOK LOOOOK!!" and STRIKE! I was so pumped I even had a little jingle in my head to the old school classic "Baby got back" to "Baby got LATS" Happy Happy Happyyyyyy... but still very very tired!!

Feeling tired, lacking labido, mood swings left right and centre, headaches, changes in my cycle plus a list of other physical symptoms got me guessing harder what type of hormonal imbalance this was... Holding SO much fluid, I could feel and see the muscle separation in every bodypart but things aren't ceasing as quickly as projected. Off to the Doctors the next day to suss it all out... "here we go" I thought. Hopefully not another wasted appointment thieving my blood!

Monday rocks around and the GP is running about 15 different things to check, the Pathology Nurses suck out 3 viles of blood after our big chat about my comp and telling me about friends of theirs that have competed in the past. (Eltham Ridge Medical Centre has the BEST nurses in a Bulk Billing Practice I have ever encountered) All booked in for my results check up then off I go to the Supplement store to stock up on Chromium, CLA and Acetyl L-Carnatine... Anything and EVERTYTHING to help me bump this fluid and bodyfat off!!! I had a chat to Aaron (Braithwaite) the week before about counting my macros out from Lindy's Plan to what my actual is now that I am no longer up at 5am and spent that night focusing on what I am putting into my body to make a good measure for my very wise trainer in our session due the next day.
